I'm seldom struck by architectural photography, but the mirrored image of this Gothic gremlin, particularly with that dividing line of a frame, makes it somehow incredibly intriguing and sinister. I don't know why but it calls to mind an old Bette Davis potboiler in which she played two sisters, one good and one wicked. (Trust me, your photograph is better than that movie... forgive me, Bette.) I'm always attracted to photos that suggest a backstory of unknowable depth, and all your work is very thought provoking, which for me is far greater praise than "beautiful."
